Tension headaches are one of the most common types of headaches we see in clinic. They often creep in after long hours at a desk, stress, poor posture or tightness in the neck and shoulders. Many people describe them as a dull, pressure like ache that just will not go away.

In this short video, Ben Palmer explains a simple tip that may help ease or even prevent tension headaches.

Before he shares the exercise, he talks about what actually causes these headaches and why everyday habits can play such a big role. Understanding the “why” often makes it much easier to manage symptoms.

If you deal with frequent headaches and are looking for something practical to try at home, this is a helpful place to start.

Important: If you have severe neck pain, sudden intense headaches or headaches that are getting progressively worse, please contact us before trying any exercises. Your safety matters.

If tension headaches are affecting your day, you are not alone. Many people in our community struggle with them, especially if they spend long periods sitting or feeling stressed. Chiropractic or osteopathy may help by improving movement in the neck and reducing muscle tension, but the right approach depends on your individual situation.

If you would like personalised advice or want to understand what is triggering your headaches, we are here to help. You can always reach out for a friendly, no pressure chat with our team at Wells Chiropractic & Osteopathy Centre in Somerset.
