Ben, first became interested in osteopathy after a neck injury in his twenties led him to get his first treatment. As well as helping a long standing problem resolve - pins and needles down his left arm due to a 'trapped nerve' - he was so impressed that he decided to change careers and embark upon a 5 year honours degree in Osteopathy!

He then moved to Wells in 2009 and opened Wells Chiropractic and Osteopathy Centre. This incorporated an existing practice called Wells Chiropractic Surgery that was owned by Dr. Paul Lovell. The practice has gone from strength to strength and has continued to grow thanks to the support of it's patients and a great team of four practitioners, four masseuses and the essential front desk assistants.

Ben also has an honours degree in Psychology. In his spare time he enjoys trekking in the mountains, daily meditation practise and is a qualified black belt instructor in three martial arts; Chinese Xing Yi, Tibetan Dorjee Lam and Japanese Kempo. And, of course, most of all he loves spending time with his wonderful wife Gemma, and their daughter, Poppy.

“I absolutely love the beauty and friendliness of Wells and the surrounding Mendip hills. I get to meet some wonderful characters at my clinic and to be honest the entire day can be full of laughter as well as challenges. Peoples’ daily activities, the ageing process as well as daily stresses have led them to suffering pain and symptoms, so it’s a real privilege to be able to help our patients get back to doing the things they love using techniques that have been passed down to me. I love my job and wouldn’t want to do anything else”.
